The New Jersey Arts Incubator Arts Center is the umbrella department focusing on art education and art development, classes and workshops, student productions, use of rehearsal studios and programming and display of the visual arts throughout the facility.The NJAI Media Center, Gateway Gallery and NJAI Theater are all components of the NJAI Arts Center.
The mission of the NJAI Arts Center is to develop product of artistic expression that may be transferred to venues, galleries and arts facilities across the state in an effort to promote, sustain and retain the NJ artist in the state of New Jersey; to provide professional and advance study in all performing, multi-media and literary arts disciplines as well as display opportunities for visual artists for non-profit arts groups and individual artists; to provide the immediate community and NJ region audience with a professional quality art center resource in close proximity to their home or place of business where they can experience work in process and participate in its development; to provide NJ artists and arts organizations affordable work space and classes to further the development of their craft..
The NJAI Arts Center will be open to students and artists for classes, rehearsal space and workshops twelve months per year. The NJAI education program will run from September through June in three semester units. In July and August, NJAI will present summer programming for youth and special workshops for artists.
The NJAI Arts Center will provide rehearsal and presentation opportunities to its students and artists. Grants and scholarships will be provided to qualified applicants, as available, to low & moderate income students, artists and arts organization for classes, rehearsal space rentals and theater rental.
