A PORTRAIT SERIES AT THE NEW JERSEY ARTS INCUBATOR GALLLERY

West Orange, New Jersey, November 1, 2010 – The New Jersey Arts Incubator is proud to present Contemporary Tribal Markings. The newest exhibit, curated by Lorena La Grassa, is an on-going collaborative effort between photographer Tony Cordoza and visual artist Gina Rivas-Velasquez. The first edition of the exhibit debuted this past summer at the Iron Works Gallery in Orange, NJ as part of Valley Arts’ 6th Art Loop to rave reviews.

The New Jersey Arts Incubator (NJAI) is best known to area residents for its Incubation Gallery exhibits and its monthly music series at its courtyard studio in the Essex Green Plaza, #16 at 495 Prospect Ave., West Orange. NJAI Literacy Project Performance Held at Montclair Art Museum

West Orange, NJ – 7/8/10 – The New Jersey Arts Incubator, the Rose Parks School, the Orange Public School and the Montclair Art Museum partnered this spring on an innovative literacy project, The Julius Rosenwald Fund Literacy Project, for 20 students of the Rosa Park School, which culminated in a recent performance at MAM. This project was partially funded by the Thomas and Agnes Carvel Foundation, NJAI and the Orange Board of Education.
