History

New Jersey Arts Incubator was founded by West Orange residents, Amy Simon and Joseph Gardner and a committed Board of Directors. The New Jersey Arts Incubator organization was born with a focus to create a nurturing environment to develop one’s craft, create jobs in the community and support the promulgation of business stable artists and non-profit arts organizations in New Jersey. NJAI was created to prepare artists to act as catalysts in redevelopment and revitalization projects and provide cultural and educational experiences in communities across the State of New Jersey.

NJAI is the only true arts incubator in the State of New Jersey and one of only a dozen known arts incubator facilities in the country.

Study, create, present, and develop the business of art at NJAI.
